With this set, Sims can have their own working vineyard at home to generate income, without Makin' Magic (some objects in set require MM, and the set complements the MM crop & kitchen items).

Updates/Changes:
NOTE: Redownload Hutch Bookcase on Feb 25, 2006, the hutch/bookcase #1 (with the bowl of grapes on the lower shelf) was changed to allow Sims to take a grape snack from the hutch. This new version will overwrite & replace your original hutch bookcase if you downloaded it as part of the previous original set. Be sure to install the .iff file in the same folder where you placed the original hutch bookcase from this set. New downloaders: the correct file is already in the main Kitchen zip above. Add'l note: a no-EP kitchen counter is available for those without HD+ at the SSOW Yahoo Group

How it Works:

The Crops
Special hacked Grape & Berry crops by Raeven require no EP & are much less labor than MM crops. Sims can sell their harvest for income, and they can also propagate the plants to make more plants. Sims with high interest in the Outdoors earn more money from selling their crops.

The Gift of Grapes
If you have HD +, your Sim can also keep their harvest in their inventory, and either give the fruit as a gift to their friends, or they can use the grapes in the specially hacked grape jam canning station. (see details about canning station below.) These will not replace your MM grapes & berries & they won't work with the Nectar Press or Baker's Oven: you will still need MM crops for those. These grapes & berries appear in the Sim's 'gift' inventory, not in 'ingredients', where you find the MM crops: Sims that have the grapes or berries in their inventory will have 'Fresh Produce' available in their Interaction Menu when you click another Sim. Under 'Fresh Produce' you will find any of the crops you have harvested, available to give. Crop Files include object & skin files: Please read Installation Instructions.

Vineyard Workshop
Baker's Oven (MM), barrel end table, shop sign (HD), decorative box of preserves, worktable, shop door (HD) & hacked grape jam canning station (HD). Worktable hacked by Raeven, works as a 4 seat dining table with no EP required. Adult version of worktable available in Adult section. (see link bottom of page)

Canning Station
Specially hacked grape jam canning station requires that your Sim have grapes harvested from Raeven's grape vine plant in their inventory to use. Your Sim will make more money from their grape harvest if they make & sell preserves from their grapes, rather just from selling the crops. Sims with higher interest in Food earn more from selling preserves. (Also, the higher the Sim's cooking skill, the more they make, which is a feature on the Maxis canning station. And just like the Maxis stations, Sims earn cooking points while using it.). Sims can sell the preserves, or keep them in inventory as a gift. They will show up in your Sims inventory as grape preserves, and will be separate from any preserves they have from other canning stations. Vineyard Kitchen
Counter (HD+)*, Stove (LL), sink, dining table & chair, Recipe Book (MM), and two hutch bookcases, hacked by Raeven so that Sims can study Food & Outdoor interests as well as cooking & mechanical, and read for fun/study for school. (Food Interest only appears for those who have HD+). no EP required on kitchen items except for counter (HD+), stove (LL) & recipe book(MM). (set shown with Tuscan fridge from MM) Adult version of counter available in the Adult section.

Vineyard Patio
Nectar bar (MM), basket end table, wicker chair, Vat of Wine 'punchbowl' (HP, hacked by Raeven to work on location lots), vat of water 'fountain' hacked by Raeven for Sims to wash hands in (extra hygiene), and decorative wine vat.
