(picture 6, TTAs Resource Screen for sculpture, default) When
you're done, follow me to the TTAs screen. Click the TTAs button, and
you'll see a screen that lists the text that will come up when you click
on this object with your active Sim. (picture 6, above) On a sculpture,
that menu just says 'View' because that is the only thing your Sim can
do with a sculpture. Since we changed the 'consider' animation to one of
turning on a stereo, we'll change that now to 'Turn On'.
(picture 7, TTAs Edit Window, sculpture default) This
opens the TTAs Edit Window. (picture 7, above) Notice Text Field 0 says
'View' in the text field. Change it to 'Turn On', as pictured in picture
8 below. Click OK when you are finished.
(picture 8, TTAs edit window, Text Field 0 edited) Now
the first item listed in the screen is Turn On instead of View. (shown
in picture 9, below) The list goes on in other languages, you would need
to edit all those in turn if you wanted to change the menu for other
language versions of the game. To do that, click the Edit button on the
TTAs#129 screen again & click the Select button above the text
field, it opens a drop list with all the languages listed. As this is
just a tutorial object, it's really not necessary, lol.

| You can now change your object name & description & the price, too, if you want, save & check out your sculpture in the game. (If you need a tutorial for using the CTSS screen to change an object's Name (Title) & description in the Buy mode catalog before you save this object, click HERE. If you need instructions on how to use the the OBJD screen to change an object's price in the Buy catalog before you save, click HERE.) Place your new sculpture on a lot, select a Sim & have him/her click on it. Notice the new interaction for 'Turn On' on the sculpture in the picture above. Now, instead of 'considering' this object with her hand on her chin, Cornelia does the animation of turning on a boombox, as in the picture above. Notice how the does the animation at the side instead of the front of the object. I chose an animation at random, you'll often find they don't match with your new object the way you might want or expect. Some may not work at all. | |
