Viggo stood on the beach watching the surf, waiting for the most important moment of his life. The weather was beautiful, warm with the salty breeze cooling him slightly. I am getting married today. Amazing! Viggo smiled, as he thought of the that would be joining them soon. The vows we take today with our loved ones will be our real wedding, he thought. They would be driving up the coastline to San Francisco later in the week to have a legal ceremony, as Los Angeles didn't sanction same gender marriages.

Viggo's fourteen year old son, Henry, walked up behind his father and gave him a warm hug, "You should see Orli, Dad. He's so nervous that he keeps pacing. I don't think Charlie is going to get him to calm down. He's this close to hyperventilating..." he said softly, keeping his arm around his father's waist. "You know what, I really have wanted to tell you all day Dad. I'm really proud of you and Orli," he finished with a grin, gazing up at his dad happily.

Viggo grinned, mischief lighting his eyes, "Are you sure you are comfortable with this, Henry? I mean, after all the stuff you have been doing to keep us apart?" Viggo laughed and rumpled his son's hair.

Henry pretended to scowl, "Apart! I'm the one who was trying to do everything, but knock you upside of the head with something to get you back together with Orli, Dad! But yeah, I'm comfortable, I mean you are whatever it is that you are... I mean you know, bi, gay or whatever. You're my dad and I love you." He scowled deeper as his father rumpled his hair again, "Quit it Dad! Charlie will cream you if she sees you doing that."

Viggo put his arm around his son and headed back towards the house, "Well, I'm glad you are okay with this, your opinion is important to me, you know? Speaking of which, do you think I have to wear these shoes?" Viggo looked down past at his green raw silk pants and the tan silk shirt that was open to the top of his rib cage, down to the brown shoes, "I really would rather go barefoot."

With a smirk that he must've picked up from Orlando somehow, Henry pushed his dad down into the sand. Then he yanked off his dad's shoes and socks and threw them all up into the air. He laughed as he watched them fly upwards and said, "Shoeless daddy!" He ran back towards the deck, turning back once to see one of the socks land on his father's head.

Viggo grabbed the sock off of his head and leapt to his feet. He sprinted after his son, leaving the shoes and socks where they had landed. "You are dead, Henry!" he yelled in mock anger.

Charlie lounged on the bed, watching Orlando wear a hole in the carpet. He had quit smoking again, because he knew that Viggo didn't like it. Instead he was chewing his fingernails and pacing. "Orlando, luv, don't you want to do this?" Charlie asked worriedly.

Orlando spit what was left of his thumbnail into the garbage can with a scowl, "Yes, I bloody well want to do this, I... I'm just fuckin' nervous!" He continued pacing, then stopped looked out the window for a moment and then resumed his pacing. Choosing a new nail to chew on, he looked at her, "I do love him, Charlie, and I want to marry him. I want to bind myself to him forever, but I didn't think it was going to be this nerve-racking... I'm so nervous that I think I'm going to faint when it comes right down to it."

Elijah peeked his head in the doorway, "Orli, Ciel and Tanya have everything ready on the deck for the party afters, did you want to check it out? Ciel is worried that there won't be enough stuff that you will like?"

"Come on, Orli. Let's go check out the tables, you know how Ciel gets... And it's better than ruining the carpet. Come on, gorgeous," Charlie grabbed his hand. She hoped that having something to do would calm Orlando's nerves.

He pulled back, "No... I  can't go out there yet, not till it's time... I... uh, need to change." Orlando pulled his hand from her grasp and headed over to the closet. He opened the door and peered inside. He was wearing ripped blue jeans and a white button down shirt at the moment, but felt that he should wear something better. "Leather... too warm and sticky! No, not blue jeans..." he mumbled, "You go on ahead... I'll be out later."

As Charlie left, Elijah came over to peer into the closet with him, "You ok, mate? I am not sure that the superstition about brides not being seen applies to you..."

Orlando stripped out of the shirt he was wearing, kicked off his sneakers and yanked his pants off. Elijah forgot not to look as he stood there in just purple silk boxers, then Elijah blushed and looked down. Orlando walked into the closet, cursing vividly as shirts of almost all the colors of the rainbow came flying out and piled onto the bed and the floor nearby. "Dammit!" he cursed, "I'm so bloody nervous, I need a fag man..." He stuck his head out of the closet and peered hopefully at Elijah.

Elijah smiled ruefully, "All I have is clove cigarettes... Dude, Charlie would beat me if I smoked tobacco." He held up his hands showing bitten nails very similar to Orlando's. "You want one of those?"

Orlando shook his head and headed back into the closet. Elijah sat on the bed and waited chewing on his thumbnail. After a moment, Orlando came out of the closet dressed only in a pair of black slacks, "I can't find my bloody silver shirt!" He glared at Elijah, "You know the one I'm talking about... I wore it in Milan... to the club? You know the one I'm bloody yappin' about?!" He was clearly frustrated and flushed. He started chewing his nails again.

Elijah cringed, looking at Orlando with wide eyes, "Ahhh... Orli, it wouldn't be the one you wore to the reunion the other night, would it?"

Peter wandered around on the deck aimlessly. Attracted to the buffet, he wandered over. Thinking no one was watching, he stuck a clean finger in to the dip, intending to taste it. He swirled his finger in it and then brought his finger up to his lips.

Ciel, tall and elegant in a butter yellow sheath, caught Peter's little act of rebellion out of the corner of her eye. Sliding over to him, she tapped him on the shoulder, "Excuse me, Mr. Jackson. Can I get you a plate of something? Maybe a nice variety of appetizers?" Taking him by the elbow she led him to a table.

Peter followed after Ciel with a smile and walked along with her barefoot, "Mm, stuffed mushrooms?" he queried as he took one and popped it into his mouth with a grin and grabbed several more to take with him.

Tanya watched her lover walk over to Peter Jackson and tried to hide a snicker behind her hand, Can't get much past Ciel, Mr. Jackson...she sees everything... Tanya's dark hair had been straightened and fell around her ears in soft strands.

Ciel shook her head slightly, thinking about fixing her display from this teddy bear's depredations. "Mr. Jackson, I have to tell you how much I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings trilogy of movies. Your vision of the entire experience was so close to what I imagined every time I have read them." She got him seated and sent a blinding smile in his direction. "Wait right here, I will bring you something right away."

Tanya shook her head. "You old softie, you always had a spot for directors..." she whispered as she sipped a glass of juice and watched Ciel with  blue eyes that seemed to pierce her lover's soul. She stood and headed in to the house towards the bathroom.

Billy came tearing around the house from the front, looking like the hounds of hell were after him. He ducked behind Peter's chair, "Protect me, Pete. Dom has water balloons. He would never throw one at you."

Sean Bean walked onto the back deck and glared at Billy hiding behind Peter, "Bloody hell, can't you four not do that today?! It's a special occasion and you should be bloody mature!"

Billy cowered in mock fear before Sean's wrath, "Oh Boromir, please forgive me! I didn't mean to cause a ruckus really... Please don't make me practice swords with you for hours in punishment!"

Dom came barreling around the corner at that moment and came to a complete stop as he saw the situation. Attempting to hide the water balloon failed miserably, so he decided to let it fly at the back of Beanie Boy's head instead

As Sean glared down at Billy, shaking his head; he was suddenly soaked by a water balloon hitting the back of his head. Instantly his eyes went wide as he turned, dripping liquid everywhere, "DOMINIC!!!!" he roared, "You bloody ponce!" He turned and instantly ran towards the younger man.

Dom looked at him and saw his death reflected in Sean's eyes. He squealed, pivoted and ran back the way he had come, "Now Sean, it was an accident, really!"

Charlie heaved a sigh, hating to leave Orlando, but knew that Ciel would worry herself to death if the stuff wasn't approved. As she came out, she saw Dom disappearing around the corner of the house, Billy rolling on the deck in helpless laughter and Sean dripping with a spent balloon hanging from his damp collar. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Peter stuffed his face with mushrooms, as he watched Sean run after Dominic and turned towards Billy, "That... is all your fault."

Billy stopped laughing and tried to look hurt, "What did I do, P.J.? I was trying to keep nice for the wedding, when that bloody wanker tried to ambush me."

Sean stopped running after Dominic when he saw Charlie trying to hide a smile and smirked, "Come here, ducks," he said all playful-like and gave her a hug, getting her damp.

Ciel laughed at Charlie's shocked expression and then went to prepare a plate for Peter. She filled the plate from the extras bins for refill and then took it over to him. She smiled and then went back to fix her tables.

Henry laughed huskily and kept running, as he looked back at his dad he ran smack into Charlie and Sean, as he wasn't watching where he was going. The three of them went down in a heap.

Charlie huffed as she was knocked down and lost her breath, "Sean, you bloody wanker! What the fuck is wrong with you? Damn!" She heaved Sean and Henry off her and headed into the house, her one suitable dress a sodden mess.

"Ah, to have a camera!" Peter said, as he took the plate from Ciel. "Thank you, my lovely lady."

Ciel nodded, "You are welcome, Mr. Jackson. If you need anything else, please let me know." Her assistant was late and Ciel was getting very nervous. She went over to the bar to check on the tender and make sure he had everything he needed.

Tanya made her way back out onto the deck and glanced around. "I missed something didn’t' I?" she asked as she paused in the doorway.

Billy giggled, "Oh yeah, you missed Sean nearly losing his life to Hurricane Charlie."

Viggo ran up on the deck and laughed at the varying expressions on the faces before him. "I wish I could paint this scene," he said, his voice quivering with laughter.

Sean grumbled, "Viggo, please tell me you have something else I can wear... cause my bloody suit jacket is soaked. I swear if I even CATCH Dominic looking at me funny, I'm going to bloody dunk him in the Pacific!"

Viggo smiled, "Yeah I brought a change of clothes, you can wear it. I take it the hobbits have been misbehaving..." He waved Sean into the house and got his suit bag out of the hall closet, "Here, mate. These should work, we are about the same size."

Dom snuck inside the house and came face to face with Sean. Eyes wide with fear, he squeaked and ducked down the hall to his room.

Viggo smiled as Sean went down to the bathroom to change. I guess it was too much to expect a normal sort of wedding with this crew, he thought. He went out onto the deck to find Henry. "Do you still have the ring?" he asked nervously.

Henry looked up at his father, and patted his pockets, "Nope... think I lost it in the sand."

Viggo looked haunted, "Henry, this isn't funny, you didn't really?"

"DAD! I'm not stupid, of course I have the ring.... see!" he said as he pulled it out of his back pocket and held it up. "Geeze, you are really nervous."

Viggo groaned, "Son, you have no idea. I am going to go wait out on the sand where the ceremony is going to be. Would you let Orli know when he comes out?"

"Sure dad... you want a few minutes to snog him to death before the mob of people watch you two?

Viggo blushed, "You've been hanging around with Orli too much. As for the snogging, that would be nice, but I think he is hiding from me until the ceremony."

"Well, I can't say as I blame him, I got a good look at him earlier... dad, his nails are like... gone."

Viggo winced thinking of his poor fingers, "I didn't tell him he had to quit. I even said if he really felt he needed to he should wait until after San Francisco. But you know Orli..."

"Well you did it now, Dad... I'll go see if he's finally ready, you go... do what it is that you do."

Viggo wandered out to the sand and looked out at the waves, he tried to center himself but found he couldn't. So instead he tried to imagine he would paint this... Maybe as a wedding present to Orlando.

Charlie cursed as she tore through her closet, finding nothing that would look at all suitable for her best friend's wedding. Almost everything in her closet was black. Then she saw it hid behind her leather trench coat, a sapphire dress she had bought in a weak moment on a friend's advice. She had never worn it as it wasn't really her style. Basically it was a retro dress from the 1920's in the flapper style, with black, blue and silver beading and fringe. She sighed, It will have to do. She put it on and slipped on some blue flats. Checking her makeup, she left and went to Orlando's room, "Coming in, Darling."

Orlando had finally found the shirt and was buttoning it up, his curls falling haphazardly around his head. "Yeah, I'm decent, not that you care!" he said with an impish grin.

Elijah grinned, "She's probably disappointed." He looked up to see her entering and his mouth fell open, "Charlie?"

Orlando grinned at Elijah's shell-shocked expression, "Fuck, Charlie, you clean up nice." Charlie grinned and dipped a quick curtsy.

Henry wandered into the house, "Charlie? Viggo wants to see Orlando out on the beach whenever he's ready and before the mob comes out to go after them again," Henry called out.

Charlie laughed and yelled back, "I think he heard you, Henry. Thanks, sweetie." Charlie turned to Orlando, "Well, darling. Do you want to go see Viggo before the ceremony? Or should I tell him he has to wait." She put her arms around him and hugged him tightly.

Orlando hugged Charlie tight and then let her go. He bounded out of the house, off the deck and ran along the beach barefoot to where Viggo was standing. He skid to a stop for he was totally shocked by the sight of his gorgeous beloved in his finery. Orlando fell to his ass on the sand and gasped.

Viggo heard the pounding of feet and thought it might be Henry. He slowly turned to see Orlando flat on his ass. He ran over, "Are you okay, Orli? Did you hurt yourself?"

"I...I...I..." Orlando stammered rather badly as he stared open mouthed at his beloved, "you...God...you...just..."

Viggo looked at Orli perplexed, "Orli? What's wrong? Don't I look okay? You look gorgeous, if a little sandy." He held out his hand to help his lover up.

Orlando reached up as if to take Viggo's hand, but when he did he pulled him down atop him in the sand. He ignored the twinge of pain that ran through his back, as he silenced his lover with his lips and poured out his love into the kiss he placed on Viggo's lips.

Viggo rolled Orlando over so that the younger man was on top and twined his hands through the curly locks, pulling him in deeper to the kiss. His reaction to Orlando was obvious through the light raw silk of his pants. He broke away from the kiss, gasping, "Orli if we keep this up, the guests will come down and find me ravishing you on the beach.

Orlando grinned, "Mm, always wanted you to ravish me on the beach, get sand in the sticky places, then roll around in the surf like a couple of seals.... doesn't that just fire your blood?" he asked as he kissed the tip of Viggo's nose. "Hmmm? It fires mine...."

Viggo groaned, "You aren't helping, look at me. These pants don't conceal anything."

"Not my problem... I don't care if they see what is mine... as long as they know that you are mine and I am yours.... in all ways," Orlando said smugly.

Viggo blushed, "Well, why not? It's my weekend for humiliation I guess. Losing a challenge to Hugo, getting beat up by a girl. All it really needs is this I guess." Viggo laughed at himself and stood up, holding out his hand to help Orli up.

Orlando reached up and took Viggo's hand and was drawn to his feet. He kissed Viggo's lips, soft and tender, "You know, Charlie was just trying to protect me."

Viggo sighed against Orlando's sweet mouth, "I know, dear heart. I am glad you have her, now that I know the truth." He looked over Orlando's shoulder and saw the group approaching. "Orli, I think it's time."

"Time? Time....Oh God..." Orlando gasped and went limp and started sliding to the ground.

Viggo caught him before he fell and looked down at him in stunned bemusement. Lifting Orlando into his arms, he said, "Orli, please God. What do I do now?"

"Kiss me... you charming King," he said in a whisper. He leaned up and licked Viggo's nose with the cutest imp expression and a sweet pout on his lips.

"You are such a faker, you always catch me like that. I ought to dump you in the water," Viggo pretended to be angry and scowled at his love.

"Would you really do that to me?" Orlando asked, making his lower lip quiver and batted his eyelashes at him.

Viggo's lips twitched, "You know I would."

"I'll remember that...." Legolas said with a cryptic smile as he climbed to his feet and held Viggo's hand in his own, his eyes had shifted slightly to become those dual toned brown with the blue irises. "You're getting a lot more than you can handle my love."

Viggo smiled seductively, "I am counting on it."

Charlie walked up, "Ok you two, time to stop clowning around, the sun is going down. If you don't want it already set for your vows, we need to get moving."

Orli looked at Charlie and glared, "You know, if you were not my best friend... I'd do what Viggo threatened to do to me."

Charlie smirked, "You could try, ducks." She stuck out her tongue at him and crossed her eyes.

"Don't tempt me... and don't call me ducks," Orlando replied as he gazed at Viggo and gave him a wink. "She's right, the sun is blazing over the horizon like a ball of fire and Viggo, you have a fire of your own to put out," he said softly, whispering.

Viggo almost dropped Orlando at that last remark. A loud laugh burst out of his belly, "You are incorrigible." Viggo set him on his feet and stood behind him with his arms wrapped around the younger man as the rest of the guests approached.

Orlando grasped Viggo's hands in his own. "Yes, I may be but you love me that way... and you would never change me," Orlando teased him with that same impish grin. Only the way he held Viggo's hand tighter betrayed his nervousness.

"Too true, lover boy," Viggo managed to get out between chuckles.

Billy strode up and looked at the mirthful faces in disapproval, "I don't think you two have the proper solemn expressions for... this... What is it we are doing here anyway?"

"Old man..." Orlando quipped as he looked up slightly at Viggo with a grin. "We're well, going to say our vows here before our friends and family..." he said, gazing at Charlie with a grin, then looking to Viggo, "then it's off to San Fran...to make it legal?"

"That's the plan, lover. Unless you have another suggestion," Viggo nibbled his earlobe, to the disgust of the hobbits.

"I have several, and most involve syrup and sausages..." Orlando whispered back, as he turned his head and kissed Viggo soundly.

Viggo kissed him lingeringly, "Mmm, yes, breakfast..." Viggo smiled saucily.

Dom broke in, "For God's sake, will you two please say your piece and then get a room?" Elijah hit Dom upside the head.

"How do you want to do this?" Orlando asked smiling at Viggo

Viggo smiled, "I'll go first if that's ok?"

Orlando nodded in relief, "Please.."

Viggo moved to take Orlando's hands, wanting to look in his eyes as he said his vows, "We are standing here in front of the many people who helped us to get to this point. I am delighted to share this moment with my dear friends and family." The sky was a brilliant panoply of crimsons, golds and purples behind Viggo and Orli. "Our love has passed through the fires of adversity and remained unquenched. We have battled ignorance, jealousy and even the Gods to be together. We emerge victorious. Nothing shall come between us again, this is my vow to you. I shall care for you and be cared for by you. All that is mine is yours. I, Viggo Mortensen take you, Orlando Bloom to be mate, lover and husband for all eternity and in all circumstances. I shall never be parted from you till death separates us temporarily. And then we shall be together again as we rest with the Valar into eternity."

With Orlando's hands in Viggo's his entire body trembled with love and something else... as he stared into those green eyes, that emerald gaze that had drawn him since the very first moment he saw him. Then he started to speak, "We fought long and hard to get to this moment and it took a very crafty group of people. But beneath it all, it took one person... an Elf. A blond haired, blue eyed Elf whom we both love for different reasons; if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be here today... I know that there is nothing that I cannot do if you are by my side, for you are my strength, and my love. I don't know if the world will accept us for who we are and what we are about to become, but I do know that we can do anything with the power of the people who surround us right now. For they are all with us, they all love us. But it is the love that we have for each other that makes us who we are. I love you, only you, there is no one else for me. You say nothing will come between us, and I know that you're right. All that is mine is yours, my heart, my soul and most especially my love. I, Orlando Bloom take you Viggo Mortensen, to be lover, mate and husband for all my life, until eternity tears us asunder but I know that it will not be forever because we will be together, in this life or the next... I'll always be with you," he whispered as his eyes began to tear and one slid over his cheek to cascade down towards his chin.

Viggo kissed that tear as it fell, tasting it's saltiness upon his lips, "I love you, Orli." Viggo swept him up into his arms and kissed him passionately.

Before Orlando could echo the sentiment, he was kissed. His tongue slid into Viggo's mouth, tasting him, devouring the sweetness of his lips, memorizing the interior of his mouth, his fingers threading through Viggo's sandy colored locks as he pulled him closer, wrapping one leg around Viggo's body he tripped the older actor and fell atop him in the sand, still locked within the kiss, much to the groans of everyone else.

Viggo wrapped his legs around Orlando's trapping him, he sucked upon the younger man's tongue and teased it with his, as he played his fingers over Orli's sensitive skin above his hip.

Peter coughed and then said, "I think I will head back to the deck for some of Ciel's delicious food. Wouldn't you all like to join me?" Then way he said it made it obvious that this wasn't really a request. The entire group minus two went back to the house.
